Description

Overview
The ECO SERVO variable-speed control system provides precise rotation and flow control for high-pressure, large-capacity piston pumps. Based on extensive Kawasaki pump experience, it enables accurate flow and pressure regulation while supporting energy-saving operation and reduced actuator noise.

Features
  • Designed for use with KAWASAKI piston pumps (K3VL, K7VG series). Peak pressure: 35 MPa; maximum discharge up to 600 L/min (500 cm3 pump displacement available).
  • Suitable for both open and closed hydraulic circuits; available standard pumps for open circuits and special pumps with suction valve for reversible high-pressure closed circuits.
  • Employs a variable-displacement pump with two displacement settings to reduce required drive torque and motor capacity.
  • Compatible with both servo drives and inverter drives.
  • Combined with the dedicated ECO SERVO controller, enables high-accuracy control of position, pressure and flow.

Specifications
  • Pump displacements (cm3): 22, 45, 80, 140, 200, 500 (500 cm3 available individually).
  • Inverter drive — motor capacity (kW): 7.5, 11, 22, 30, 30, 37, 45, 55, 75, 90; rated torque (N·m) and max torque (N·m) available per selection.
  • Servo drive — motor capacity (kW): 5, 7, 7, 11, 11, 15, 37, 45, 45, 55; rated and max torque values vary by model.
  • Pump pressure — max operating: 32 MPa; peak: 35 MPa.
  • Max speed: typically 2,000 min-1 (open circuit) / 1,800 min-1 (closed circuit), depending on configuration.
  • Hydraulic fluid: antiwear hydraulic fluid.
  • Supply voltage/frequency: 200–230 V, 380–480 V, 50/60 Hz.

Notes
  • *1 For combinations of pump displacement and motor capacity not listed, contact Kawasaki.
  • *2 Rated motor speed is 1500 min-1 (2000 min-1 only when servo drive rated at 5 kW or 7 kW).
  • *3 Maximum torque values are short-time ratings; select drives so effective torque per cycle is below rated torque.
  • *4 Maximum speed may be limited by operating conditions and duty cycle.
  • *5 For hydraulic fluids other than those specified, contact Kawasaki for technical support.
  • *6 The 500 cm3 pump displacement is available as an individual option; consult Kawasaki when considering this capacity.

Benefits
  • Energy-saving operation through optimized pump speed and displacement control.
  • Improved controllability of position, pressure and flow for precision industrial applications.
  • Simplified maintenance and system integration when combined with dedicated controller options.

Applications
  • Plastic machinery and die casting
  • Press machines
  • Metal processing plants
  • Marine and oceanic machines
