OverviewKawasaki developed the ROTAS tilting-angle control technology in 1967 and applied ROTAS-equipped electro-hydraulic servo pumps to high-accuracy position and speed control in forming presses. Since 1978 ROTAS has been incorporated into in-house L-series pumps for forging and other heavy applications. The electric control pump K3VG/K7VG combined with the ILIS electrohydraulic servo regulator delivers flow precisely according to a pilot voltage input. ILIS inherits ROTAS reliability and enhances controllability and responsiveness with a built-in microprocessor and advanced control techniques.
Features of the ROTAS- Good linearity and low hysteresis for accurate flow control.
- Accepts various electrical signals to enable remote control and feedback loop integration.
- Internal feedback mechanism simplifies system architecture (external feedback not required as with conventional servo valves).
Features of the ILIS- Built-in microprocessor PID control delivers precise and stable controllability.
- Double feedback (sensed tilting angle plus mechanical minor-feedback) ensures stable, highly responsive control.
- Utilizes a powerful proportional valve designed for high reliability under contamination.
- Horsepower is electrically limited by sensed pressure; multi-step linear approximation (up to 6 steps) enables accurate control from low to high power.
- Pressure sensing compensates pump volumetric efficiency so delivered flow remains proportional to the input signal regardless of delivery pressure.
