Overview
The AL4 series from KEB is a family of 3‑phase asynchronous (squirrel‑cage) motors specifically designed for inverter operation in accordance with IEC 60034‑25. The series offers a 4‑pole configuration across five frame sizes covering a power range of 0.37 kW to 55 kW and is available in protection classes IP54 and IP23.

Manufacturer / Design
Motors are manufactured by Brusatori for KEB. The AL4 design provides an optimized power‑to‑size ratio for induction motors and stable dynamic behaviour during speed and torque changes over a wide speed range. Standard configurations are available and the series can be adapted to specific customer requirements. The design is suitable for machine and system applications and can serve as a retrofit replacement for DC drives.

Drive Integration
The AL4 motors are intended for integration with inverter drives such as the COMBIVERT F6. Systems can be supplied encoderless or with encoder; pre‑assembled encoder cables are available on request. Motor and drive are harmonised to support high efficiency and simplified commissioning.
