Project overviewSystem room TRENDLINE: implementation of a two-storey, flexible hall office (system room) inside a production hall to create additional office, break and meeting areas while optimising floor usage.
Project descriptionThe two-storey system room was integrated into the existing production environment to provide production‑proximate spaces without losing valuable ground‑level storage. By using an existing steel platform, the upper floor area was maximised across a length of approximately 40 metres.
Room design and materialsGlazed wall elements provide bright, open spaces and good sightlines within the hall. A suspended ceiling improves room acoustics. The acoustic package includes rock wool infill, double glazing for wall and door elements, joint sealing tapes and door bottom seals, significantly improving sound insulation in the rooms.
Technical execution and safetyVentilation and air-conditioning equipment were installed by the client on the roof. Fall protection was fitted for occupational safety. The upper floor used fall‑proof glazing with TRAV approval to meet requirements for impact/fall safety.
Functional featuresThe system's flexibility and the use of special‑height wall elements allowed ground‑floor office heights and the drive‑under clearance of storage positions to be configured to the client's requirements. The ground floor includes a portal as an intermediate passage, eliminating the need to walk around the hall office and keeping circulation routes short and clear.
