Description

Overview
The D51EXi-24 / D51PXi-24 is a Komatsu crawler dozer fitted at the factory with a 3D Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Machine Control system (intelligent Machine Control, iMC). Factory-installed components include a cab-top GNSS antenna, an enhanced inertial measuring unit (IMU+), and stroke-sensing hydraulic cylinders that form an integrated sensor package, increasing robustness and accuracy while eliminating blade-mounted antennas and cables.

Key capabilities
  • Automated dozing from rough cut to finish grade with factory-installed 3D GNSS Machine Control (iMC).
  • Hydrostatic driveline delivering high drawbar pull when required and fuel-efficient operation for grading and precision work.
  • Selectable operating modes: quickshift or variable speed to match different applications.

Cab & operator comfort
The cab features a hexagonal design with large tinted windows for wide visibility, a high-capacity fully automatic climate control system that pressurises the cab to reduce dust ingress, and sound-absorbent interior lining to minimise noise. The intelligent Machine Control touchscreen is factory-mounted high for visibility and has an adjustable viewing angle.

Safety
The super-slant nose and cab-forward layout provide excellent visibility of the blade, ripper and surrounding obstacles. The integrated ROPS/FOPS structure enhances operator protection and positions the operator closer to the blade for better control.

Maintenance & serviceability
Well-located service doors provide convenient ground access to daily service points. The radiator is positioned at the rear of the machine while engine fuel and oil filters are easily accessed from the front of the engine compartment. Remote grease points simplify lubrication of C-frame pivots and angle cylinder bearings.

Environment & engine
Equipped with a Komatsu EU Stage V engine delivering ultra-low emissions, high performance and reduced environmental impact to help lower operating costs.

KOMTRAX and maintenance program
KOMTRAX wireless monitoring is available to track machine performance and status remotely. Komatsu CARE is provided as a factory maintenance program covering scheduled maintenance with genuine parts performed by trained technicians.

Applications
  • Heavy earthmoving and precision grading on construction sites and quarries.
  • Works requiring integrated GNSS guidance and automatic blade control.
