Description
The LWN 160 HP hard whirling machine is ideal for producing lead screws. It is suitable for external machining up to 6,000 mm in length and increases productivity by a factor of 3 compared to modern grinding machines, without compromising machining quality. Very convincing is the fact that the pitch accuracy of five-start threads is only 1 μm, the dimensional accuracy in the cylindricity of the thread diameter is better than 3μm, and the roughness depth Ra achieved in the hard whirling process is less than 0.2 μm.
