Product OverviewConstant linear 1/2λ retardance is realized across a broad wavelength range when linearly polarized light passes through this waveplate. The waveplate is fabricated by laminating birefringent resin films within glass substrates such as optical glass and quartz, providing excellent optical characteristics. Use of resin film enables fabrication of larger sizes (more than 30 mm diameter). For limited wavelength regions, products can be customized based on optical design.
FunctionSB-RETAX-3L-1/2λ provides constant linear half-wave (1/2λ) retardation across a broad wavelength range. This waveplate rotates the polarization direction and alters the transmitted polarization state for broadband linearly polarized light.
