The EASYZON® 5 chlorine dioxide system generates chlorine dioxide on-site using the acid–chlorite batch process and is designed for water treatment and disinfection tasks. Chlorine dioxide disinfects across a wide pH range and, as a dissolved gas, is effective against biofilms in distribution networks, including Legionella spp. and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The system uses hydrochloric acid (9%) and sodium chlorite (7.5%) as reagents. Level control and an agitator ensure defined reaction conditions in the reactor.
