PRECISE THICKNESS MEASUREMENT FOR ANODE / CATHODE COATING
The laser-based thickness measurement system is a non-contact, online solution for continuous monitoring of coating thickness on anodes and cathodes. It reliably measures layer thickness across the full web width, detects the edge-/ thinning area and thin spots, and ensures consistent coating application—crucial for the quality of modern lithium-ion cells.
To ensure maximum precision and stability, the measuring frames and base plates are made of solid marble. This material offers excellent thermal and chemical resistance, outstanding vibration damping, and long-term durability - ideal conditions for accurate and repeatable measurements.
The measuring frames are traversed using linear axes with spindle drives. These provide high feed forces and meet the highest demands for positioning and repeat accuracy, even under challenging production conditions.
Thanks to the patented Reechi technology, the system detects edge-/ thinning areas and thin spots that often go unnoticed with conventional methods. This ensures reliable quality control even in critical areas and significantly enhances process stability.
