The a120nx continues Makino’s long-standing tradition of bringing high efficiency, high accuracy, and industry leading reliability to large parts production. The a120nx provides an expansive workzone that accommodates workpieces up to Ø82.7” (2,100mm) x 70.9” (1,800mm) tall, and weighing up to 11,000 pounds (5,000 kg – optional specification). The maximum cutting feed rates and rapid rates for all linear axes are 2,126 inches per minute (54 meters per minute), allowing for highly efficient machining with the a120nx’s standard 8,000 RPM High-Torque spindle. The a120nx also features an optional 20,000 RPM High-Speed / High-Power spindle that is especially suited for demanding aerospace and semi-conductor chamber machining applications. This agile heavyweight comes standard with our Fanuc based Pro-6 CNC control, featuring standard features such as a user-friendly touch screen interface, advanced tool data management, and our patented Makino Geometric Intelligence high speed machining control system.
