Non-contact dimensional inspection system profileGAUGE X.LP-3D

Overview
The profileGAUGE X.LP-3D is an inline measuring system for 360° inspection of profiles and semi-finished products. Four scanCONTROL laser scanners capture the measuring object simultaneously from several viewing directions to enable reliable geometric evaluation directly in the production process.

Measurement software and evaluation
The 3DInspect and profileGAUGE software are used to create application-specific measurement programs and to automatically evaluate inspection characteristics such as width, thickness, angles, radii, depths, gap dimensions, diameters and nominal/actual deviations. Measurement results can be transferred to higher-level systems for quality assurance and process monitoring.

System concept and integration
The measuring system is delivered as a complete solution with measuring bracket, laser scanners, control cabinet and panel IPC. The compact system architecture facilitates integration into new systems and retrofit installation in existing production lines. Standard industrial interfaces are available for integration into automated processes.

Design variants
The standard version X.LP-3D-50 offers a measuring range of 40 mm. Depending on the measuring object, extended measuring ranges of up to 120 mm are possible. The final design is adapted to the profile size, geometry and the features to be inspected to ensure that the contour areas to be evaluated are within the measurable range.
