The AM335X series features the high performance, low power features of the ARM Cortex-A8 core, providing the highest DMIPS at the same cost. It also provides 3D graphics acceleration and integration of key peripherals to meet various application needs. Optional 3D graphics accelerators with performance up to 20 M/tri/s, support for LPDDR1/DDR2/DDR3 memory, and independent PRU subsystems provide additional flexibility in product design. Optional support for Ethercat and Profibus further meets the needs of industrial design.
Measuring only 65mm by 35mm, the MYC-Y335X-V2 System-On-Module (SOM) is a compact ready-to-run Linux ARM controller board based on TI AM335x (AM3352, AM3354, AM3358) series ARM Cortex-A8 Sitara processors which can run at up to 1GHz. It has 256MB DDR3 SDRAM, 256MB Nand Flash, 32Kb EEPROM, Gigabit Ethernet PHY chip on board and features excellent power management circuit design using TI’s TPS65217C solution. The module can be soldered to a specific-designed base board through its 1.27mm pitch 146-pin Castellated-Hole expansion interface to meet customers' peripherals, I/O and dimensional requirement.
MYIR offers a development board MYD-Y335X-V2 for rapid evaluation of the MYC-Y335X-V2. It uses the MYC-Y335X-V2 SOM as core controller board and has extended many peripheral interfaces like serial ports, USB Host port, OTG port, dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, WiFi, CAN, RS485, Micro SD and LCD through headers and connectors on the base board. Compared to MYIR’s MYD-C335X-V4 board, it is a reduced function device which is to meet customers’ simple requirement but additionally, the board features an on-board WiFi module to allow wireless network capabilities
