OverviewThe GHP 721 guarded hot plate system is a cabinet instrument for stationary measurement of thermal conductivity of thick specimens. Integrated single board computer (Windows), optional Lambda software and a high-resolution color touch display provide system control, data acquisition and evaluation. NETZSCH TAURUS Instruments GmbH focuses on instruments for thermal conductivity measurement of building, construction and insulating materials.
Main features- Guarded Hot Plate for absolute, steady-state thermal conductivity measurements
- Single- or two-sample measurement modes
- Integrated SBC (Windows) and Lambda software for control and evaluation
- High-resolution color touch display
- Motorized lifting of the upper plate for easy sample handling
- Digital measurement of sample thickness and contact pressure
- Various heater plate sizes (e.g. 100×100 mm to 300×300 mm) and test areas up to 500×500 mm
- Fully insulated test chamber
- Interfaces: RS232, USB, Gigabit Ethernet for peripherals and PC connection
- Integrated cooling/heating control for cold and hot plates
Standards / MethodThe system is designed according to established standards for guarded hot plate and related methods (ISO 8302, ASTM C177, EN and DIN standards). It supports measurements with a well defined temperature difference ΔT between hot and cold plates and minimizes lateral heat losses via the guard ring.
Accessories / Options- Sample adapters for 1-sample or 2-sample mode
- Reference materials for calibration and quality control
- Choice of heater plate dimensions and shapes (square/rectangular)
- Extended interface and PC connectivity packages
