Description

Overview
The GS/G series is a heavy-duty gantry machining center family designed for high structural rigidity, thermal stability and precise multi-axis milling of large workpieces. Available models: GS1612, GS2012, GS2015 and GS2518. Key construction uses Meehanite cast iron and resin sand casting for vibration damping and dimensional stability.

Highlights
  • Machine structure: bed, worktable, column, beam, saddle and ram manufactured in high-strength Meehanite/resin-sand cast iron for enhanced damping and thermal stability.
  • Guideways & motion: X/Y axes with heavy-duty roller linear guides; Z axis with heavy roller linear guide or rectangular hard rail; motion pairs provide smooth travel and high wear resistance.
  • Drive & screws: high-precision pre-tensioned ball screws on X/Y/Z directly driven by high-power AC servo motors to eliminate backlash transmission.
  • Z-axis balance: double nitrogen balance cylinders reduce no-load torque on ball screw, lowering wear and preserving accuracy.

  • Machine body: high-strength resin-sand cast Meehanite body providing anti-vibration performance and stable support for heavy machining.
  • CNC system: Mitsubishi M80A standard in configuration table; FANUC or SIEMENS available as options; multi-language support and USB program I/O.
  • Spindle: die-cast iron spindle box; direct-driven spindle (BBT40/BT50 depending on model) with speeds up to 12,000–15,000 rpm (model-dependent) and spindle power up to ~7.5 kW (option dependent). Oil cooler maintains spindle thermal consistency.
  • Tool changer: disc-type mechanical-arm tool changer with fast, accurate roller-cam positioning; optional magazine capacities (24 / 30).
  • Auxiliaries: central spindle coolant outlet, air filtration for the pneumatic supply, lubrication system for guides and screws, hydraulic unit for chuck/rear support and electrical cabinet cooling.
  • Options: 4th-axis rotary table for multi-sided machining, chip conveyor, belt/gear spindle variants and choice of guide/screw brands (PMI/HIWIN/THK).
