Overview
The Oster 582A is a portable 2" capacity threading machine for pipe and bolt threading. It is designed to thread pre-cut or pre-formed stock and features a revolving die head for efficient chip clearance.

Featuring the X1 Style Rotating Diehead
The machine uses the Oster X1 style rotating diehead for semi-automatic operation with adjustable over/undersize threading capability.

Semi-Automatic Rotating Diehead
Open construction permits chips to fall away during cutting. A yoke actuated by the movement of the vise carriage automatically controls opening and resetting of the diehead. Head is fully adjustable for over- and undersize thread.

Vise and Carriage
The machine includes a fast-acting, self-centering vise carriage that permits easy loading, ensures positive gripping and automatic centering. Auxiliary jaws are provided for diameters under 1/2".

• No. 03193 Wheel Stand — wheel stand with pneumatic tires and a locking compartment for tooling and accessory storage.
• Reaming and Chamfering Attachments — reamer or combination reaming and chamfering tools available.
• Additional accessories — bolt and pipe dies, nipple and stud grips, ream and chamfer tools, adjustable pipe support.

Dark Thread Cutting Oil (OSTO)
Oster OSTO dark thread cutting oil is recommended for thread cutting to keep threads cool, reduce friction and extend die life; formulated to prevent chip welding and maintain cutting performance.
