The Oster 655 with Slide-In Tools
The 655 accepts slide-in tooling for rapid changeover and reliable thread formation under continuous workshop use. Slide-in tools simplify alignment and replacement.

Roll-Over Headstock
Exclusive 'Roll-Over' headstock (standard) permits quick access to motor, brushes and switch box. Removing a single pin allows the headstock to pivot up and back for maintenance and inspection.

654 – Equipped with Swing-Over Tools
The 654 is fitted with Quad II swing-over tools featuring an automatic opening system that ensures correct NPT thread length and provides through-die-head oiling for improved cutting lubrication.

• Switch: heavy-duty reversing switch; safety foot switch included (machine operates only with foot on switch).
• Diehead: one Quad II quick-opening die head — capacity 1/8 in thru 2 in pipe.
• Dies: two sets of high-speed steel pipe dies (right-hand): one set (1/2 in and 3/4 in), one set (1 in thru 2 in).
• Reamer: detachable blade-type reamer.
• Cutter: roller-type, self-centering (blade type available with 655).
• Front chuck: fast positive gripping, both right- and left-hand direction, with replaceable jaw inserts.
