Description

Product description
Rigid couplings GN 2264 connect supported shafts or serve as couplings for shaft extensions. They transmit angular position and high torques precisely and without backlash. The design does not compensate alignment errors or runout tolerances. The split construction enables assembly where axial sliding of shafts is not possible.

Application / mounting
Split design allows installation onto pre-mounted shafts. With bore code K the keyway is integrated in both bores d2 and d3. For applications subject to strong vibration, use of thread-locking on the clamping screws is recommended.

Specification
  • Coupling materials and finishes:
    • Steel — ST — blackened
    • Stainless steel — NI — AISI 303, plain finish
  • Socket cap screws: ISO 4762 — steel (blackened) for ST; stainless steel for NI
  • Operating temperature: -40 °C to +175 °C
  • RoHS: yes

Notes
- Split design for applications where axial shaft removal is restricted; transmits angular position and high torque with no backlash.
- With bore code K the keyway is integrated in both bores d2 and d3.
- For high-vibration applications thread-locking of clamping screws is recommended.
