Product overviewIndexing plunger GN 823 is used to lock or index moving parts (e.g. carriages in guides). The plunger retracts when the actuation lever is pressed. Version C also allows pull actuation and includes a locking feature that secures the plunger in the retracted position.
Construction / materials- Body (guide): Steel (ST) zinc plated, blue passivated; Stainless steel (NI) 1.4305 (AISI 303)
- Plunger: Stainless steel 1.4305 (AISI 303)
- Lever: Plastic, polyphthalamide (PPA), glass-fiber reinforced; color: SW (black)
- Compression spring: Stainless steel 1.4310 (AISI 302)
- RoHS: RoHS compliant
Variants & coding- Form: B = without locking in retracted position; C = with locking in retracted position (actuable by pulling)
- Thread code: R = standard thread; F = fine thread
Accessories (examples)- Positioning bushes GN 412.2 (with collar)
- Positioning bushes GN 412.4 (with collar, stainless steel)

- Flat hex nuts GN 909 / GN 909.5 (stainless steel)
Dimensions (selection)Available diameters d1 (examples): 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 mm. Available lengths l1 depend on diameter and variant.
Compliance & ordering- RoHS compliant
- Example weight (typical variant): approx. 0.026 kg
- Ordering code example format: GN 823 - d - l - form - thread - material - lever color (e.g. GN 823-6-7-B-R-ST-SW)
Application notesSuitable for industrial locking and indexing tasks where repeated positioning or frequent disassembly is required. Multiple material and thread options enable selection for corrosion resistance and mechanical requirements.
