Description

Product overview
Power clamps GN 8621 hold and position parts such as sheet metal panels in automated welding processes or grip and secure parts in transfer and mounting mechanisms. The clamping arm transmits the clamping force produced pneumatically or via the manual lever from the knee-lever mechanism to the workpiece. The quick swivel movement enables short cycle times and the pneumatic end-position damping ensures smooth movement.

Operation and benefits
The removable hand lever simplifies set-up and troubleshooting; it can be mounted on either side and removed during pneumatic operation to prevent unintended actuation. The clamping arm opening angle can be set or limited at any position. End positions are detected by sensors integrated into the internal mechanism and require no adjustment. The entire mechanism is encapsulated in an aluminum housing to protect against dirt and water spray. Reinforced, weight-optimized housing design and high-quality needle bearings and joints provide long service life.
