Overview
Ball-bearing linear slides with C-shaped guide rails designed for contained, guided linear motion. The SDC Series uses a separate precision ball cage and a hardened steel rail. The internal carriage carries the load inside the fixed C-shaped external rail while the ball cage retains steel balls between carriage and rail surfaces to provide rolling contact with low friction and even load distribution.

How it works
The internal carriage is pushed or pulled within the fixed C-shaped rail. The ball cage floats between the carriage and rail and typically travels about half the distance of the carriage travel. Integrated mechanical end stops limit travel within the rail length, protecting internal components and keeping motion inside the rail envelope.
