Description

The BBO crystal (beta barium borate) is one of the most commonly used nonlinear crystals for harmonic generation in ultrashort pulse applications. BBO crystals exhibit a range of exceptional properties, including high effective nonlinearity (deff) and a broad angular and thermal acceptance range. BBO crystals are predominantly employed to generate the second and third harmonics of Ti:Sapphire and ytterbium-based lasers.
