Description

Rayvoss N surge protection systems are designed with Strikesorb 80 or Strikesorb 40 Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) inside. Offered in a variety of configurations, Rayvoss N can be customized to meet any customer’s electrical overvoltage protection needs. Technical Info: - Fuseless SPD design: advantages are lower clamping voltages, zero maintenance, no parts to replace - Tested to 200 kA maximum surge current (8/20μs) Strikesorb 80 - Strikesorb 80 is a Class I SPD per IEC 61643-11 - Tested to 140 kA maximum surge current (8/20μs) Strikesorb 40 - Strikesorb 40 is a Class I SPD per IEC 61643-11 - Ultra-high short circuit current rating Rayvoss Features & Benefits: - Rayvoss N surge suppresson systems are fully listed to the UL1449 4th ed. safety standard - The Rayvoss N enclosure is NEMA 4 rated, designed to withstand exterior environments - The surge protective devices inside Rayvoss systems (Strikesorb) do not require an internal fuse to operate safely. Cables can be attached directly to the internal bus bars, eliminating the voltage drop across a fuse. The advantages are: lower clamping voltages, zero maintenance and no parts to replace - Rayvoss N can be installed “in-line” which eliminates the need for long cable lengths, and results in the lowest clamping voltage possible - Rayvoss N is UL-Listed for installation with 4/0 AWG (120 mm squared) cable capable of handling 225 A. Using the largest cable size possible helps to reduce the clamping voltage by reducing the inductance in the cable Available operating voltages (AC voltages rms) depending upon Strikesorb module used - 60V - 120V - 240V - 277V - 400V - 480V - 600V - 1000V
