Description

Overview
Horus640-D is an uncooled longwave infrared (LWIR) thermal imaging module designed for automotive night vision and driver-assistance systems. It integrates Raytron's AEC-Q100-qualified LWIR MEMS detector and a Falcon-series ASIC-ISP image processor to deliver compact, low-power thermal perception capable of detecting pedestrians, animals and obstacles in low-visibility conditions such as darkness, glare, fog, smoke and precipitation.

Key features
  • Resolution: 640 × 512
  • Pixel pitch: 12 μm
  • Frame rate: 30 Hz (60 Hz optional, requires customization)
  • Spectral band: 8–14 μm
  • Thermal sensitivity (NETD): ≤ 40 mK @ 25 °C, F#1.0
  • Weight: <80 g
  • Compact size: 32.5 mm × 60.5 mm × 43 mm (without connector)
  • Protection: IP69K (forward), IP67 (other directions)
  • Interfaces: MIPI / DVP YUV422 8-bit; LVDS video protocol; Fakra physical connector; I2C control

Description
The Horus640-D passively senses emitted infrared radiation and produces thermal images that highlight heat-emitting targets under adverse lighting and weather conditions. The combination of Raytron's LWIR MEMS detector and Falcon-series ASIC-ISP enables shutter-less operation and TECless algorithms for stable imaging, while AEC-Q100 qualification ensures suitability for automotive integration. The module supports defrost thresholds and sunburn protection to maintain performance across temperature ranges.

Applications
  • Automotive night vision
  • Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS)
  • Autonomous driving perception and sensor fusion
