Brake-integrated Harmonic Drive
1. Structural Composition
The brake-integrated harmonic drive comprises a harmonic drive reducer and electromagnetic brake unit, with the brake coil assembly embedded within the reducer housing. This integration achieves axial length reduction and system weight minimization.
2. Operating Principle
The square hub of the brake is connected to the shaft of the wave generator. In de-energized state, the brake mechanically locks the shaft to halt rotation. When the brake is energized, the brake is released, allowing the wave generator to rotate freely.
3. Applications:
Joint modules, cobots, automated production lines
