OverviewThe SANTSAI VDS Series Vertical Die & Mold Splitter is designed for the safe and efficient separation, inspection and maintenance of injection molds, die-casting molds and stamping dies. Available in 3, 6, 10 and 15-t capacities, the machine features a heavy-duty steel frame, large machined platens, a controlled hydraulic vertical lifting/lowering system and configurable platen sizes and opening heights for oversized molds.
Key Advantages- Vertical separation of upper and lower die or mold halves
- Maximum mold capacities from 3 to 15 t (standard models shown)
- Heavy-duty steel frame for stable operation
- Large machined platens to accommodate oversized molds
- Controlled hydraulic lifting and lowering for safe handling
- Convenient access for mold inspection and maintenance
- Reduced dependence on overhead cranes
- Safer mold opening and closing procedures
- Suitable for injection molds, die-casting molds and stamping dies
- Customized platen size and opening stroke available on request
- Optional mold clamping and safety systems
- Simple operation via industrial control panel
How It Works- The closed die or mold is positioned on the lower platen.
- The mold is aligned and securely clamped.
- The upper mold half is attached to the upper platen.
- The hydraulic system lifts the upper mold half vertically.
- The mold opens to the preset inspection height.
- Operators perform inspection, cleaning, repair or component replacement.
- The upper platen is lowered under controlled conditions.
- The upper and lower mold halves are aligned and closed safely.
