Description

Overview
This irradiance sensor is designed for measuring radiation flux density in solar PV plants. It integrates a PT1000 cell temperature sensor and is supplied with a mounting bracket and cable for straightforward installation. The model provides an analog 0–1.5 V output and is compatible with SolarEdge Gateway and other dataloggers supporting 0–2 V inputs.

How the 3S-IS-T-V Sensor Works
  • A monocrystalline silicon reference cell absorbs sunlight and generates current.
  • A precision shunt resistor converts the cell current into a voltage proportional to irradiance.
  • The PT1000 temperature sensor on the back of the cell compensates temperature-related deviations.
  • An electronic board processes signals and computes temperature-compensated irradiance values in W/m².
  • Processed data are transmitted via an analog 0–1.5 V output for connection to PLCs, SCADA or dataloggers.

Key Benefits
  • Measurement traceability: IEC 61724-1 Class A compliance with uncertainty ≤1% and calibration per IEC 60904-2.
  • Fast response: typical 1 s response time (500 ms option available) for near real-time decisions.
  • Field-ready design: UV-protected aluminum housing (IP54) with IP65/IP68 options for harsher environments.
  • Easy integration: supplied with mounting bracket and 3 m LIYYC11Y PUR cable; plug‑and‑play with analog-capable systems.
  • Low maintenance: low drift and robust calibration method reduce recalibration and replacement frequency.
