The WPVS (World PV Scale Standard) reference cell 3S-WPVS is a precision irradiance sensor based on a monocrystalline silicon reference cell (20 x 20 mm), designed for calibration and measurement in PV test laboratories and solar simulator setups. It provides PV-matched spectral response and integrated cell temperature measurement for standard test condition adjustments.

How it works
  • The monocrystalline cell generates a current proportional to incident irradiance
  • A precision shunt resistor converts current into a measurable voltage (mV)
  • A PT1000 temperature sensor under the cell provides cell temperature for thermal correction
  • Analog irradiance (mV) and temperature outputs integrate with data loggers and test systems
