Product overviewThe flue gas operated lithium bromide (LiBr) absorption chiller/heater recovers waste heat from high‑temperature flue gases (for example exhaust from engines, turbines or combustion equipment) to produce chilled water and/or hot water for industrial and comfort utilities.
ApplicationsDesigned for cogeneration and trigeneration schemes, the unit supports comfort cooling and process cooling/heating. It can be configured to work with one or more supplementary heat sources to adapt to site conditions and operational requirements.
- Flue gas + engine jacket water (supplementary heat): maximizes engine waste‑heat recovery and overall system cooling capacity, improving combined energy efficiency (up to ~85%).
- Flue gas + direct fired burner (supplementary heat): burner provides backup heat when flue gas flow or temperature is insufficient.
- Flue gas + steam (supplementary heat): suitable for sites with surplus steam; steam supplements or backs up heat input to increase cooling output.
FunctionDelivers chilled water >0 °C and hot water ≤95 °C for comfort conditioning and industrial process applications.
Capacity range233–11,630 kW (20–1,000 × 10^4 kcal/h) / 186–9,280 kW (16–800 × 10^4 kcal/h) depending on configuration.
Driving sourcesFlue gas; flue gas combined with natural gas, steam or hot water.
