The TPI-LT Series Screw is a long travel adjustment screw designed for precise linear positioning in laboratory and optical applications. It features a unique magnet stop-block (patent pending) that allows for rapid and extreme travel adjustments. When the stage is positioned against the magnetically coupled adjustment screw, it operates like a standard spring-loaded stage, enabling fine linear adjustments. To move the stage out of the experiment area, simply slide it to the opposite end of travel, where it will lock into a new magnetic stop location. Overcoming the magnetic coupling at either end requires some force, ensuring secure positioning.
This innovative design is ideal for applications where devices need to be moved into and out of experimental areas, such as moving sample chambers under a microscope or introducing optical elements into a laser light path. The adjustment screw remains usable for fine linear adjustments when the stage is in place, while the opposing stop-block, equipped with a 1/4-20 set screw, allows for precise location adjustment when the stage is out of the experimental area. The LT series adjustment screws are compatible with Siskiyou's 200cr and 400cr stages.
