Outside micrometer SDM

The SDM Series Micrometer is a differential micrometer designed for precision adjustment applications, offering 1 micron resolution. This micrometer uses a combination of precision adjusters to provide 0.020 inches (500 microns) of fine adjustment, with a precision of 20 microns per turn. The tip of the adjustment screw is machined to accept a hard ball bearing (64 Rockwell) that can rotate at the end of the screw, minimizing the amount of rotational torque transferred from the adjustment screw to the translation stage.
