Description

Eliminate a sorting step – the MSort AW is the ideal choice for efficiently colour sorting dry hollow or flat glass. It enables three separate materials to be sorted out at the same time instead of the usual two – ideal for separating green, brown and clear glass at the same time. The material to be sorted is passed to the chute via a conveyance and distribution feeder, where it is accelerated and fed into the detection zone. A detection system scans the material curtain instantly. State-of-the-art parallel processor technology is used to evaluate the images based on the shape, colour and colour intensity. It also detects transparency using different forms of exposure within the range of visible light and is therefore also able to sort using the transmitted-/reflected light method. Once detection is complete, the two flows of product are evacuated using a high-speed compressed air pulse. The smart arrangement of the nozzle bars and the sensor systems enables each nozzle bar to have an equally strong efficiency with minimal product loss. Sources of interference, such as turbulence, are completely eliminated. Both materials are evacuated within milliseconds. What’s more, the sensor in the parallel process detects different sorting criteria (such as shape and colour) and can combine these in any way as required. The recorded data can also be used for statistical/analytical purposes separately from the sorting process. There is also the option to add inductive detection to remove ferrous and non-ferrous metals at levels of sensitivity set by the user. This option can be retrofitted at any time.
