Description

The E10S series continuous grinding and refining system has been specially designed to grind and refine product in a single step and represents a significant breakthrough in terms of simplifying the process, saving space and energy. The cocoa nibs or roasted nuts are pre-ground in a crusher with rotating blades, then in paste form are sent, by a screw feeder, inside an innovative pre-refiner with vertical cylinders. From this a liquid mass emerges which is pumped to a final sphere refiner specially designed for continuous operation. The particle size of the cocoa mass or nut paste at the outfeed can vary according to requirements, from around 70 microns to 18-20 microns. Thanks to the quick passage through the ball refiner, the formation of surfine particles is extremely reduced. The entire grinding and refining process, which is carried out continuously, without any contact between the product and the outside world, guarantees the utmost respect for the product’s peculiarities, leaving its organoleptic characteristics unchanged, by means of careful temperature control in the three grinding/refining stages.
