Description

Product overview
The DRV5032 is an ultra-low-power digital-switch Hall-effect sensor designed for compact, battery‑sensitive systems. Multiple magnetic thresholds, selectable sampling rates (5 Hz, 20 Hz, 80 Hz), output driver types and package options enable flexible integration. When magnetic flux exceeds the BOP threshold the output is driven low; it returns high or high‑impedance when flux falls below BRP depending on the version. Supply range: 1.65 V to 5.5 V. Packages: SOT-23, TO-92, X2SON.

Key features
  • Ultra-low power consumption
    • 5 Hz version: 0.54 µA
    • 20 Hz versions: ~1.3 µA
    • 80 Hz version: 5.2 µA
  • Operating VCC range: 1.65 V to 5.5 V
  • Operating temperature: –40 °C to +85 °C
  • Magnetic threshold options (max BOP):
    • DG: 3.4 mT
    • DU: 3.9 mT
    • FA/FB/FC/FD: 4.8 mT
    • AJ: 9.5 mT

Functional description
The device samples the magnetic field with an internal oscillator and updates the digital output at the selected sampling rate. Versions trade off current consumption versus responsiveness. Output behavior (low, high or high‑impedance) depends on selected output driver and magnetic threshold. Multiple package choices support SMD and through‑hole mounting.

Applications
  • Battery‑powered and compact consumer devices
  • Position and presence detection (door/window sensors, tamper detection)
  • Human‑machine interface switches, rocker/trigger sensors
  • Any application requiring ultra‑low‑power magnetic switching
