Structure and featuresBalls run in four rows of precision-ground raceways on the LM rail and LM block; end plates in the LM block allow ball circulation. Retainer plates keep balls in place even if the LM block is removed from the rail (except models HRW 12 and 14LR). Each ball row is set at a 45° contact angle, providing uniform load ratings in four directions (radial, reverse-radial, lateral). The LM block can receive a well-balanced preload to increase rigidity in four directions while maintaining low friction. The wide LM rail with low center of gravity and low overall height enables single-axis applications where space is limited or where high rigidity for moment loads is required.
Compact with Large Load CapacityDue to the large number of load-bearing balls, the model provides high rigidity in all directions. The wide LM rail supports moment loads in single-rail configurations and has a large secondary cross-sectional moment of inertia, delivering high lateral rigidity without side supports.
Self-Adjustment CapabilityThe front-to-front configuration of circular-arc grooves (DF set) provides self-adjustment capability that absorbs mounting error even under preload, achieving smooth and highly accurate linear motion.
