Description

Overview
AUTOSORT™ FLAKE is an optical flake sorter designed to achieve maximum purity yields for high-end plastic recycling, including bottle-to-bottle applications. It integrates a FLYING BEAM™ NIR spectrometer, a full-color camera and a high-sensitivity electromagnetic metal sensor. High-speed valves provide precise ejection of small contaminants, while integrated lighting and continuous signal correction support stable sorting performance.

Applications
Designed for flake sorting in plastic recycling operations (PET and PO flakes and other polymers) to meet strict purity requirements for high-value recycled products, including bottle-to-bottle recycling.

Technology & operation
Optical sensors (FLYING BEAM™ NIR and full-color camera) work together with a high-sensitivity electromagnetic sensor to detect polymer type, color and small metal fragments simultaneously. The system uses an integrated light source with continuous signal correction to maintain stable detection. High-speed valves enable targeted ejection; electromagnetic detection reaches approximately 1 mm for small ferrous and non-ferrous fragments.
