Chains require a large space, and gears require precision machining, which can lead to problems such as high costs. Pin gears are ideal for such situations. Instead of a gear drive wheel, a chain with an attachment is wrapped around the outer circumference of the drum to form a wheel, and a specially processed sprocket is used for the pinion gear. For linear motion, a chain with attachments is used in place of a rack, mounted in a straight line. It is necessary to select a sprocket specification that corresponds to the customer's operating environment and chain specifications. Chains with pin gear attachments engage differently from regular chain winding transmissions, so a dedicated sprocket with a special tooth profile is required.
