The rear housing of the hot plate features an off-centered, built-in support rod holder with locking knob that accepts the probe kit supplied with each unit. Hot plates are available with ceramic or aluminum top plate material. White reflective ceramic tops are chemical-resistant and easy to clean. Durable aluminum tops will not crack or chip, and offer a more even heating surface.
