Description

Description
The SP 94i is a fully modular inset slipform paver in the 9 m class designed for precise, cost‑effective paving of concrete pavements and large areas (roads and airports). It is configured for paving widths from 3,500 mm to 9,500 mm (optionally 2,000 mm with a transverse‑slope profile) and thicknesses up to 450 mm. The modular machine design allows re‑equipment and adaptation to multiple applications.

Main features
  • 4‑track inset slipform paver suitable for road and airport surface construction.
  • Standard paving width: 3,500–9,500 mm; optional 2,000–9,500 mm with transverse‑slope profile.
  • Standard mounting height: 0–450 mm (with transverse‑slope profile: 450 mm).
  • Fully modular machine structure for easy conversion and extension.
  • Intelligent electronic steering and control systems for precise coordination of the four crawler units.
  • Optional self‑loading dowel bar inserter and anchor inserters for reinforced paving.
  • Alternative compaction options: hydraulic or electric vibrator drives; standard/optional hydraulic and electrical interfaces depending on configuration.
  • Efficient engine management with ECO mode to adapt power to demand and reduce fuel consumption and noise emissions.
  • Modern engine: up to 231 kW (310 HP) compliant with EU Stage V / US EPA Tier 4f exhaust standards.
  • Ergonomic operator station and intuitive control concept common to the SP series; 3D interface compatibility with leading 3D control suppliers.

Process and technologies
Concrete is placed in front of the paver or supplied laterally by conveyor or side feeder. A distribution auger or spreader bar distributes material across the full width. Electric or hydraulic vibrators achieve uniform compaction. The transverse screed and longitudinal finisher ensure final surface quality. Devices for longitudinal dowel insertion and transverse anchor placement can be integrated.

Design and operation
  • Robust machine design to maintain precision in demanding site conditions.
  • Compact transport dimensions and optimized transport concept reduce costs; depending on configuration some components can remain mounted during transport.
  • Directional functions and optional equipment (hydraulic swing arms, innovative gear steering) increase on‑site productivity.
  • WITOS FleetView telematics available for fleet management, position control, machine status, and maintenance/diagnostics.
