Inset slipform paver SP 64i

Overview
The SP 64i inset slipform paver is a fully modular 4-track machine for precise concrete paving in road and airport construction. It operates on paving widths from 2.0 m to 7.5 m and paving thicknesses up to 450 mm. Modular design, hydraulic swing arms and an electronic steering and control system ensure high adaptability and accurate concrete placement.

Inset paving process
Concrete is deposited directly in front of the paver or fed from the side via conveyor or side feeder. A spreading auger or spreading plough distributes concrete evenly over the full paving width. Integrated vibrators provide homogeneous compaction while the inset mould shapes the slab to the specified width and thickness as the paver advances. Optional dowel or anchor inserters place reinforcement elements parallel to the travel direction; central or side tie bars can be inserted transversely. An oscillating beam and smoothing equipment perform surface finishing, followed by a super-smoother for final texture.
