Description

Product
6×7+IWS steel wire rope

Overview
Similar to the 6×7+FC, this rope features a point-contact construction with six strands of seven wires each and an IWS (steel wire strand) core. The steel strand core increases resistance to extrusion and maintains rope integrity under high compressive and contact loads, making it suitable for heavy-duty, low-bend applications.

Performance Features
  • Strength: Steel strand core improves anti-extrusion capacity and overall breaking strength, providing stability under heavy loads.
  • Flexibility: Lower flexibility than fiber-core ropes; adequate for applications with limited bending cycles.
  • Wear resistance: Enhanced resistance to wear and surface damage under high external pressure and frictional loads.
  • Application characteristics: Commonly used in mine hoisting machines, non-frequently bent sections of port cranes and other anti-extrusion, high-strength uses.
  • Design note: Suited for heavy-duty environments where high tensile performance and anti-extrusion properties are required.
