Product Overview
6×7 construction general purpose wire rope is available with FC (fibre core) or WSC (wire strand core). When supplied with a WSC the rope is commonly referred to as 7×7. The rope is very flexible at small diameters (0.5–2 mm) and becomes increasingly rigid from approx. 6 mm upwards; larger diameters are often used for non-working stays (e.g., mast stays). Available in galvanised and marine-grade stainless steel.

Introduction
  • Material: high carbon steel; also available in stainless steel grades 304 and 316.
  • Cores: FC (fibre core) or WSC (wire strand core).
  • Finishes: bright, electro-galvanized, hot-dipped galvanized; marine-grade stainless options.
  • Typical diameter range: 0.5 mm – 18+ mm; small diameters remain flexible, larger diameters become stiff.
