OverviewThe Li-ion Tamer Sensor MOS is an off‑gas detection device for lithium‑ion batteries that senses hydrogen (H2), carbon monoxide (CO) and initial electrolyte solvent vapours released during early stages of thermal runaway. Early detection enables targeted mitigation to prevent catastrophic battery failures in modular Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and other critical installations.
Features- Early warning of lithium‑ion battery failure modes
- Enables thermal runaway prevention through timely mitigation actions
- Single‑cell failure detection without electrical or mechanical contact
- Calibration‑free operation (requires only bump test for verification)
- Low power consumption and long service life
- Highly reliable, redundant output signalling
- Reduction of false positives for improved operational reliability
- Cost‑effective solution for modular BESS and rack systems
- Compatibility with all lithium‑ion form factors and chemistries
- Easy installation and integration into monitoring architectures
- Supports 2 alarm relay outputs and 1 fault relay output
- Configurable communication: relay outputs, Modbus or CANbus selection
