Description

Overview
As water scarcity becomes a growing concern, ensuring access to reliable and clean groundwater is a top priority. YG Machinery offers state-of-the-art deep well drilling rig solutions designed for efficient, precise and sustainable water resource exploration. These rigs are built with advanced full-hydraulic systems and robust driving mechanisms to handle tough rock formations and challenging geological conditions.

Working principle and key technical features
Our deep well drilling rigs use a fully hydraulic drive design. The diesel engine drives a hydraulic pump to create a high-pressure oil circuit. Control valves manage the flow to a high-torque hydraulic motor for rotation and to large-diameter hydraulic cylinders for thrust. This configuration provides stable rotation, high torque and powerful thrust during drilling operations. The rigs often employ Down-the-Hole (DTH) hammer technology for rock drilling: pressurized air is used to drive the hammer to break rock and to clear cuttings from the borehole, enabling continuous and efficient rock penetration. Configurations are available to match requirements such as reverse circulation drilling or mud pump setups for softer formations.

Core advantages
  • Superior drilling efficiency: High torque and hydraulic thrust deliver excellent penetration rates, especially in hard rock.
  • Excellent geological adaptability: Can be used with air compressors for hard rock or mud pumps for soft soil; suitable for diverse ground conditions.
  • Simple operation and long-term reliability: Hydraulic valve control enables intuitive operation, reduced mechanical wear and robust long-term performance.

Core technology notes
The rig’s fully hydraulic system allows stepless speed regulation and precise flow control, enabling instant adjustments of rotation speed and thrust to match formation hardness from soft soil to hard rock. Proper matching of high-torque hydraulic motors, feed force, drill bits/hammers and air/mud clearing systems is critical to sustaining drilling efficiency in demanding conditions.

Expanded applications
  • Agricultural irrigation: Drilling large-diameter irrigation wells in arid areas.
  • Domestic water supply: Reliable drinking water sources for remote villages, ranches and industrial sites.
  • Geological exploration: Hydrogeological and mineral surveys for water resource exploration.
  • Engineering applications: Geothermal wells, foundation piling and hot spring wells.
