Overview
The ZAdisc elevator machine replaces the original drive on a 1:1 basis. The traction sheave is prepared for the existing rope. By using the existing fixing element and clamp, significant modification of the guide rails is not required. The very flat design of the ZAdisc optimizes shaft dimensions. The two-step RETROFITBLUE modernization concept enables a transition from original spare parts to ZIEHL-ABEGG components available on the open market. Installing the ZAdyn4CS inverter (step 1) and replacing the old elevator machine with a ZAdisc (step 2) creates a modern elevator system with clearly improved performance and ride comfort.

Features & highlights
Gearless synchronous drive with permanent excitation for traction-rope elevators with a traction sheave and no machine room. Compact design and mounting of the drive on the guide rails allow optimal shaft dimensions. The approved brake can serve as a protective equipment element to prevent excessive speed during ascent and to avoid unintended car movement.
