Description

Overview
E‑series electromechanical tensile testing machines are engineered for tensile, compression, flexure and shear tests with high test loads from 330 kN up to 2,500 kN. The rigid 4‑column load frame with hard‑chromed guide columns and pre‑stressed precision ball‑screw drives ensures excellent guidance, high stiffness and long‑term accuracy. Available models: Z330E, Z400E, Z600E, Z1000E, Z1200E, Z1600E, Z2000E, Z2500E.

Key product scope
  • Measurement range / Test loads: 330 – 2,500 kN (33 – 250 t)
  • Supported test types: Tensile, Compression, Flexure, Shear (cyclic tests with accessories)
  • Target industries: Metals, Composites, Textiles
  • Standards / typical applications: ISO 6892‑1, ISO 15630, ISO 898

Description
E‑series machines combine low‑maintenance pre‑stressed ball screws with digitally controlled AC servo drives and motor feedback for backlash‑free, precise drive motion across a wide speed range. The stiff, four‑column frame with a massive base and moving crosshead enables accurate measurement of both low and very high loads. Results (force‑displacement, stress‑strain curves) are processed and displayed in testXpert III software for material characteristic determination such as tensile strength and yield point.

Your benefits / Highlights
  • Wide measurement range enabling precise determination of low and high test loads without frequent reconfiguration
  • Rigid 4‑column frame with excellent guiding properties for repeatable results
  • Low maintenance due to pre‑stressed precision ball‑screw drives and digital AC control
  • Modular design compatible with ZwickRoell accessory portfolio (extensometers, grips, fixtures)
  • testXpert III: integrated test software for data acquisition, real‑time analysis and workflow guidance
  • Compliant with applicable safety directives and using industrial safety components

Extensometer option (videoXtens Array)
The videoXtens Array is available for large specimens: high‑resolution cameras track full grip‑to‑grip separation and enable optical strain measurement without specimen markings. Benefits: reliable results for 100% of tests, marking‑free measurement, suitability for metals and strain control per ISO 6892‑1 Method A1.

Technical overview (selected values / examples)
Models and maximum test load (examples): Z330E – 330 kN; Z400E – 400 kN; Z600E – 600 kN; Z1000E – 1000 kN; Z1200E – 1200 kN; Z1600E – 1600 kN; Z2000E – 2000 kN; Z2500E – 2500 kN.
