Overexcitation relay – type RMQ-121D
This relay is applied to protect a generator against overexcitation and will prevent it from generating too high currents in case of heavy inductive loads.
Features include
> Protection of generators
> Single-phase measurement
> Timer-controlled tripping
> LED indication of fault/activated relay
> 35 mm DIN rail or base-mounting
The RMQ-121D will thus protect the generator against damages caused by excessive heating of its windings, at the same time preventing transfer of reactive load to a faulty generator.

RET615 is a dedicated transformer protection and control IED for power transformers, unit and step-up transformers including power generator-transformer blocks in utility and industry power distribution systems. RET615 is a member of ABB’s Relion® product family and part of its 615 protection and control product series. The 615 series IEDs are characterized by their compactness and withdrawable design. Re-engineered from the ground up, the 615 series has been designed to unleash the full potential of the IEC 61850 standard for communication and interoperability between substation automation devices.
RET615 is the ultimate protection and control IED for two-winding power transformers and power generator-transformer blocks. RET615 is available in four standard configurations to match the applied transformer neutral earthing principles with either high impedance or numerical low impedance restricted earth-fault protection schemes. CT ratio differences and phase shifts of all commonly employed power transformer vector groups are numerically compensated for. The standard RET615 configurations feature also local or remote control of the transformer HV side circuit breaker.
Due to the standard configurations of RET615 for the transformer protection, the IED can be rapidly set up and commissioned, once it has been given the application-specific settings.
RET615 genuinely supports the new IEC 61850 standard for inter-device communication in substations. It also supports the industry standard Modbus® protocol, and the well-established DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-103 protocols.

The TS (TrafoSTART) is an electronic relay for the switching single-phase transformers. The magnetization of the transformer core is maintained in limits during energization. This transformer starting method totally eliminates inrush current with minimal start up time (from 0,06 s). The TrafoSTART is suitable for all kinds of transformers – EI, UI, C, toroidal, at al. Parallel connected transformers of different types can be connected to one TrafoSTART. The TrafoSTART is recommended for frequently switched transformers and for low-losses transformers with high working induction. The device is easily installed into the primary lead. The TrafoSTART can replace transformer contactor, when control input is used.
During startup, the transformer core is re-magnetized to opposite value of magnetization with exactly specified increment in each half period of the supply voltage. Magnetizing impulses are revised according to the primary voltage waveform. Such a principle ensures error-free operation without any transformer secondary load.

RED615, member of ABB's 615 product series, is a phase-segregated two-end line differential protection and control IED perfectly harmonized for utility and industrial power systems, including looped and meshed distribution networks with or without decentralized power generation. Re-engineered from the ground up, the new 615 series has been designed to unleash the full potential of the IEC 61850 standard for communication and interoperability of substation automation equipment.
RED615 provides phase-segregated high speed, longitudinal differential protection for overhead line and cable feeders in distribution networks. Two RED615s interconnected over a communication link form an absolutely selective unit protection scheme. Protection of ring-type and meshed distribution networks generally requires unit protection solutions, also applied in radial networks containing distributed power generation.
Due to the ready-made adaptation of RED615 for the line differential protection, the IED can be rapidly set up and commissioned, once it has been given the application-specific IED settings. If the IED needs to be adapted to the special requirements of the intended application, the flexibility of the RED615 allows the IED's standard signal configuration to be adjusted.

The 7SD610 relay is a differential protection relay suitable for all types of applications and incorporating all those functions required for differential protection of lines, cables, transformers and busbars. Transformers and compensation coils within the differential protection zone are protected by means of integrated functions, which were previously to be found only in transformer differential protection. It is also well-suited for complex applications such as series and parallel compensation of lines and cables.
It is designed to provide protection for all voltage levels and types of networks; two line ends may lie within the protection zone. The relay features very high-speed and phase-selective short-circuit measurement. The unit is thus suitable for single-phase and three-phase fault clearance.
Digital data communication for differential current measurement is effected via fiber-optic cables, networks or pilot wires connections, so that the line ends can be quite far apart.

The voltage protection relay REU 610 is part of the RE_ 610 series of numerical relays for the protection and supervision of utility substations, and industrial switchgear and equipment.
The voltage protection relay is primary designed for the overvoltage protection of power system components, such as busbars, feeders, power transformers and capacitor batteries. The relay is also used for general power system earth-fault supervision. Further, the relay can be used for undervoltage protection of motors and overvoltage protection of capacitor batteries, for initialization of automatic busbar changeover, and for disconnecting small power units from the network in cases of network disturbance.
The voltage protection relay REU 610 supports a wide range of standard communication protocols, among them the IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus, Profibus and DNP.

The A-ISOMETER® of the IR420 series is designed to monitor the insulation resistance of AC control circuits (IT systems) 0...300 V. If the systems to be monitored include DC components, such as switched-mode power supplies or solenoid valves, the display and operating characteristics may be affected.
The display and response values apply to pure AC systems. An external supply voltage allows de-energized systems to be monitored too.
