SIPROTEC 7RW600 is a numerical, multifunction relay for connection to voltage transformers. It can be used in distribution systems, on transformers and for electrical machines. If it detects any deviation from the permitted voltage, frequency or overexcitation values, it responds according to the values set.
SIPROTEC 7RW600 can be used for the purposes of system decoupling and for load shedding if ever there is a risk of a system collapse as a result of inadmissibly large frequency drops. Voltage and frequency thresholds can also be monitored.
This voltage, frequency and overexcitation relay can be used to protect generators and transformers in the event of defective voltage control, of defective frequency control, or of full load rejection, or furthermore islanding generation systems.

Earth Leakage Relays
TemProtect Earth Leakage Relays are used to monitor earth fault current with a view to protect electrical equipment and personnel against the dangers of such faults.
Owing to the wide range of applications for the use of earth leakage protection, TemProtect has been designed to be as flexible as possible. The range includes relays suitable for installations with DIN rail, Panel or Base Mounting. All relays are suitable for use on a.c. systems and will be unaffected by d.c. components which may be present.
A range of combined relay and toroidal current transformer is also readily available.
The relays filter circuit inputs to safeguard against external disturbances in the system and offer the additional advantage of integral Test and Reset buttons, as well as integral Indication of Power and Trip.
All the Earth Leakage Relays which have separate toroidal transformers constantly monitor the connection to the toroid and will trip should an open circuit occur. They also offer the choice of automatic, manual or remote resetting after a fault has occurred.
All the relays comply to international standards including IEC 255.

The feeder protection relay REF 610 is part of the RE_ 610 series of numerical relays for the protection and supervision of utility substations, and industrial switchgear and equipment.
The protection relay REF 610 is primarily targeted at the protection of incoming and outgoing feeders in distribution substations. REF 610 is also used as back-up protection for motors, transformers and generators, in utility and industry applications.
The numerical feeder protection relays support a wide range of standard communication protocols, among them the IEC 61850,
IEC 60870-5-103, Modbus, Profibus and DNP.

REF615 is a dedicated feeder protection relay perfectly aligned for the protection, measurement and supervision of utility substations and industrial power systems. Re-engineered from the ground up, REF615 has been designed to unleash the full potential of the IEC 61850 standard for communication and interoperability of substation automation devices.
The relay provides main protection for overhead lines, cable feeders and busbar systems of distribution substations. The feeder protection relay suits any radial distribution network and system earthing principle.
The IEC 61850 implementation in REF615 also includes fast horizontal relay-to-relay communication over the station bus. By means of this so called GOOSE communication the REF615 relays of the incoming and outgoing feeders of a substation can co-operate to form a stable, reliable and high-speed blocking based busbar protection.
Due to the ready-made adaptation of REF615 for the protection of feeders, the relay can be rapidly set up and commissioned, once it has been given the application-specific relay settings. If the relay needs to be adapted to the special requirements of the intended application, the flexibility of the relay allows the relay's standard signal configuration to be adjusted.
