A current-carrying twisted pair is superior to parallel conductors, but is of limited effectiveness in reducing electromagnetic radiation. Correspondingly, the twisted pair is limited in avoiding unwanted pickup of external H-fields (D.C. to 100 KHz).
INTER-8 WEAVE cable provides substantial improvement over the performance of a conventional twisted pair. INTER-8 WEAVE cable involves four separate conductors braided into interlocking loops and is a patented design of Magnetic Shield Corporation. In application, adjacent conductors 90º apart are connected together, effectively providing a two conductor circuit.
Because the INTER-8 WEAVE design incorporates parallel conductors, the cable provides double the current carrying capacity of a two wire cable of the same AWG size. In contrast to conventional twisted pair, INTER-8 WEAVE does not kink or untwist when left free. |

In combination with metal braids of the EMC product line, control and signal cables are shielded from external disturbances. special design profiles. From a simple “O” ring
cord down to complex hollow forms. Particularly
suitable for applications requiring low closure
forces. Profiles can be supplied professional adhesive backed
or with rivet/screw holes for easy assembly.
Secondary environmental sealing can be
incorporated into the gasket.
Comprehensive ranges of cross sections are
available in extruded form. The profiles below are
preferred standard that are readily available.

Profile and Input/Output (I/O) Rfi shielding gaskets are available in UL94 V0 and HB flame retardant material. Laird Technologies specializes in quick turnaround of custom shapes and sizes of EMI industrial shielding gaskets. Profiles can be cut to specified lengths, kiss-cut release liner or mitered to form frame configurations.

Professional fabric over foam gaskets are made of a resilient foam core, bonded over with conductive fabric. More than 70 different profiles offer unlimited selection for any application. Some profiles contain rigid inserts. Metallized conductive fabric bonded to resilient core (available in urethane foam, neoprene sponge) offers a good shielding efficiency and works as a professional seal to block air, light and dust.

| ATI Dual Stack Ventilation panel is a high level EMI shielded industrial air filter with superior performance. Extruded industrial aluminum profiles surround dual layers of ¼-inch honeycomb and welded in place. Both honeycomb layers are positioned 90 degrees to each other, optimizing shielding effectiveness and minimizing the polarization characteristics of straight aluminum honeycomb. Alco-Multi Gasket, a combination of neoprene sponge and monel mesh or Alco-Knit, is installed on the panel.
