The No.8701 electrically conductive adhesive tape is a pressure-sensitive tape designed for electromagnetic shielding and grounding in electronic assemblies. It combines a conductive adhesive system with a copper foil backing to provide low through-thickness electrical resistivity.
Applications and features
Intended for electromagnetic shielding and grounding in electronic applications.
Copper foil backing provides a continuous conductive path and reliable contact.
Functions / Environmental features
Removable paper core: allows use of the tape to the end, reducing material waste.
Environmentally sensitive adhesive compound: solvent-free formulation; free from toluene and xylene.
Specifications
Backing material: Copper foil.
Adhesion: 4.70 N/10 mm.
Tack: Ball No. 10.
Holding power: Drop (min) 150 (Test condition: 40C, 9.8 N).
Electric resistivity (in thickness direction): 1.0×10^-1 Ω/(25.4 mm)^2 (measured per SLIONTEC method).
Common instructions for application
Remove dirt, dust, oils, etc., from the adherend surface before applying the tape.
Apply sufficient pressure after placing the tape to obtain necessary adhesion.
Store the tape in a cool, dark place and avoid heating agents such as direct sunlight and heaters.
Do not use this tape for electrical insulation purposes.
Do not apply directly to furniture, walls, glass, PVC products, car bodies, etc., to avoid adhesive residue, discoloration or paint peeling.
Do not stick tapes directly to skin unless designed for such application; otherwise rash or adhesive deposit may arise.
Confirm selection of tape carefully to avoid adhesive residue and/or contamination of adherends.
Consult manufacturer for special applications or if special application use is intended.
Values are measured; they are not guaranteed.
Production lead-time may vary; specifications may change without prior notice.
Use the tape carefully. SLIONTEC does not hold liabilities for damage resulting from use.
