The "SV" means Ultra-Tight Turning.
The turning radius in both front and rear is very minimal. This smooth, tight turning radius add versatility on a tight work site. We now have 2 models in "SV" series, with the smallest model, SV08 (2348 lbs) and the largest model, SV100 (20,730 lbs).

The "VIO" name means True Zero Tail Swing.
In 1993, YNAMAR launched the world's first ZERO TAIL Swing excavator and is currently marketing the 4th generation model. The "VIO" development objective of turning within the machine width has been successfully achieved, while still maintaining the stability and work performance of a conventional style unit.
We have 7 models in the "VIO" ranging from 3704 lbs through 17,530 lbs.

The first machine in this range (ViO75) is a true zero-tail-swing machine. YANMAR, the inventor of this concept (Zero Tail Swing), offers a new generation in the very popular "ViO" range. The operator improves productivity, because he can concentrate on his work without worrying about what the rear of the machine is doing.
The B7 Sigma, a super swing machine, is an alternative to the 8-ton. midi-excavator ViO75, thanks to an articulated boom, that allows complete swing of the upper frame and the equipment within the crawlers' width. The new 10-ton. midi-excavator SV100 (rear overhang reduced to 17 cm) completes the range.
